The Aberdeen Altens Hotel

My friend and I have stayed before in this hotel. It has quite spacious rooms, even the basic ones, and the pool with its facilities is very pleasant. These facilities, + the fact that we could get a twin room (not always available these days, double beds seem to be more popular) were some of the reasons we chose this hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, easy to reach by car and also by public transport. Staff are very friendly too, and helpful when asked about public transport.

This is an excellent hotel. As soon as you walk into reception you know that you have chosen a great place to stay. The decor & cleanliness of the entire building is of a very high standard, all the staff that we had dealings with were helpful, friendly & attentive. The breakfast is help yourself buffet style with plenty of choice & very good quality food. There is a pool, jacuzzi & well equipped gym that are all free to use by hotel guests, my partner made use of the pool & jacuzzi whilst we were there. We were visiting a friend in the area & will stay here again on our next visit.

We stayed a couple of nights, family of four. The hotel is not central but has a good location, it's only a few minutes drive to the city centre. The room was good sized, clean, and tidy. A swimming pool is available to use, which is a bonus. Breakfast was great. I have to specially mention Kenan, who was in the restaurant on both days we had breakfast. His positive and polite attitude towards everyone in the restaurant was great to see. This world definitely needs more people like Kenan. I hope his management appreciates the work he does. The hotel should be proud to have people like him to represent them. When in Aberdeen next time I will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you

Facilities Pool - young girl at pool very helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff efficient/ food good. Rooms good size. Good value for money . Location not far from city centre.

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The bed was huge and very, very comfy. Breakfast was amazing. I complemented the chef and told him it was the best hotel breakfast we’d ever had. Evening meal food was a huge choice and superb. We were told how to get bus etc into the city - everyone went above and beyond to help. The pool was fantastic very clean and nice temperature. We always got in when we went. Very impressed - we will tell our friends and definitely be back. We were also very impressed with Aberdeen - never been - everyone so friendly and polite.
